History

The Utah Safety Council is a not-for-profit organization established to represent and promote safety and health interests on the highway, on the job and in the home. The Utah Safety Council was founded in 1936, and has functioned as a Chapter of the National Safety Council since 1956. Throughout its history, the Utah Safety Council has continued to expand programs and services to provide the latest training, videos, educational material and other safety and health resources to business, industry and the community. An 18-member Board of Directors governs the Utah Safety Council and a staff of nine employees manages and administers programs.
