Free 4 Hour Safety Course ($160 value - FREE for members)
"Building a Foundation for Occupational Safety" -- A must for those starting a safety program, or for those looking for new ideas! This four-hour course is designed to give safety personnel the information and tools they require to develop and implement an effective safety program. A $160 value. Free First Aid, CPR and AED Course for Business ($65 value - FREE for members)
This six-hour course provides the most up-to-date First Aid, CPR and AED training specifically focused on medical emergencies in the workplace. Participants learn life-saving skills including treatment for shock, bleeding and wounds, burns medical emergencies and more. Upon completion, students will receive a First Aid Certification valid for three years, as well as a CPR and AED Certification valid for two years. Focus Four Hazards: Prevention Strategies for Construction ($160 value - FREE for members)
This course will help you identify the Focus Four Hazards and take steps towards a safer work environment. OSHA has identified four major hazard areas in the construction industry that will be addressed in this train-the-trainer course: Falls, Electrocution, Excavation & Trenching, Struck-by Incidents. Participants will gain the knowledge and basic skills relating to the Focus Four Hazards. As part of the benefits for members of the Utah Safety Council, this course is free for up to three participants per member organization, each membership year.
Safety Program Toolbox
The Safety Program Toolbox is an expansive library of training aides such as: Power Point presentations, real life stories, five minute talks, and preparation materials for the trainer. The Toolbox also contains sample policies, forms and checklists that address a wide array of safety topics and issues to help keep your company in full compliance with state and federal regulations. The materials and resources found in the Toolbox can help you create a comprehensive corporate safety training and compliance program from scratch, or simply update or modernize your current program. You can customize these tools to fit the specific needs of your organization, and they are absolutely FREE to our valued members.
