Over 900 current titles are available to check out, free of charge to USC members, for up to 14 days. This is one of the finest and most comprehensive libraries of its kind in the country. FREE Safety Seminar Series
New in 2013, the Utah Safety Council will be providing free two-hour lunch & learn training seminars for members. Each seminar will be presented and followed by a question and answer series with our expert safety consultants. Click here for the 2013 seminar topics and dates.
FREE Member Networking Events
New in 2013, the Utah Safety Council will host member networking lunch and learns. Network with other member companies as we help you learn how to implement your membership benefits to help improve your safety program, saving you time as well as improving your bottom line. Free Occupational Safety Training
Membership provides several free occupational training courses. These courses provide valuable basic training that any sized business would benefit from. These courses are free for one person, per member organization, per membership year.
OSHA 10-Hour Outreach Course for General or Construction Industry ($200 value)
Choose from either the 1910 General Industry or the 1926 Construction Industry. The OSHA Training Institute will issue course completion cards to each student. Additional attendees from a member organization are $95.
Safety and Health Management Systems for Business ($160 value)
New in 2013, this five-hour course is designed to give safety professionals the information and tools they require to develop and implement an effective safety program. Subjects include: Introduction to Safety Management, Management Commitment and Employee Involvement, Worksite Analysis, Hazard Prevention and Control, Safety and Health Training, and Assessing Organization Status and Planning for Improvement. So whether you are a seasoned safety professional looking to get your team up to speed or new to the safety field looking to build a program from scratch, this free member course provides you with a solid foundation. First Aid, CPR and AED for Business ($70 value)
This course provides participants with the most up-to-date First Aid, CPR and AED training specifically focused on medical emergencies in the workplace. Participants learn life-saving skills including treatment for shock, bleeding and wounds, burns, medical emergencies and more. Upon completion, students receive First Aid Certification valid for three years, and CPR and AED Certification valid for two years. Additional attendees from a member organization are $55.
