The Utah Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS) is a public-private partnership dedicated to reducing traffic deaths and injuries within our nation's work force. Many states have joined in this effort by coordinating NETS programs as the Utah Safety Council has. By helping employers implement well-developed policies, dynamic workplace programs, and compelling community activities relating to traffic safety, Utah NETS can enhance the quality of life in your organization.
Each year, traffic crashes cost U.S. Companies over 53 billion dollars, 3,000 lives, and 332,000 injuries, making them the number one cause of death in the workplace. Almost every company is vulnerable to traffic crashes because nearly every time an employee is involved in a serious crash, both on and off the job, the company suffers; premiums rise, productivity decreases, and costs are incurred.

Traffic Safety Program Guidebook - The purpose of the Traffic Safety Program Guidebook is to provide the employer or safety promoter with the basic information and materials needed to begin a comprehensive traffic safety program. The Utah Safety Council urges companies nationwide to take advantage of this opportunity to encourage employees to prevent one of the most common, but also one of the most easily prevented causes of injury and death.
