Contractor Safety Orientation (UITC)

Participant Cost: $75 each

Contractor Safety Orientation is designed for contractors or contractor employees who perform work on refinery properties. This program is administered by the Utah Safety Council for the association of local petrochemical companies (Utah Industrial Training Cooperative). Topics include: general industrial safety, hearing conservation, elevated work, electrical safety, hand safety and the worker's role in safety. After successfully completing the course, participants receive a photo identification badge that is required when working on refinery properties. Certification is valid for two years, after which the course must be repeated.

Note: Course also available on-site or specially arranged to be held at the Utah Safety Council's training center. Classes can be scheduled as needed on weekends by contacting Anthony Sudweeks, Training Coordinator for the Utah Safety Council at (801) 478-7878 ext. 304, or e-mail him at safety@utahsafetycouncil.org. Course Cost: $750 per class up to 10 participants, each additional participant is $75.
