Over 95,000 people are injured and millions of dollars are lost each year in forklift incidents. Now you must comply with OSHA's training standards, aimed at greatly reducing those injury statistics and related costs. At this course you'll become familiar with Coaching the Lift Truck Operator, a comprehensive program updated to cover all aspects of lift truck operation.
You'll learn how to:
- Develop and deliver a complete in-house training program
- Design exercises for evaluating hands-on performance
- Teach non-operators how to work safely around forklifts
Topics include:
- Lift truck design and vehicle safety inspections
- Moving with and without a load
- Picking up and stacking a load
- Scanning techniques
- Special considerations such as trailers, ramps and elevators
Participants receive:
- Operator and pedestrian video presentations (available in VHS or DVD)
- Sixteen discussion diagrams available on DVD, PowerPoint and in the Leader's Guide allowing the instructor to make black & white overhead transparencies
- Two written tests for participants
- Video test for participants
- Leader's Guide
Each participant receives the complete instructor kit valued at $500. This course is presented by Coaching Systems, LLC, Princeton, NJ.
