In addition to each months safety topic, we will share upcoming courses and help you get the most out of your Utah Safety Council Membership. December 1, 2022: Mining: Hazards vs. History

For over 16 years, Mike Marshall has been noteworthy instructor at the Utah Safety Council. With experience teaching OSHA, First Aid, Fire Systems, Fire Science, Behavioral Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Building and Health Safety, and MSHA courses, Mike has distinguished himself as an expert in his field. He has navigated many career titles with ease, including Senior Loss Control Consultant for the Utah State Division of Risk Management, Utah State Deputy Fire Marshal, Volunteer Fire Fighter, Rescue Team Captain, State ADA Physical Access Specialist, Industrial Hygiene Specialist, and 35 years as an EMT. Mike currently works as the Safety Officer for the Abandoned Mine Closure Program through the Utah Department of Natural Resources.
